Ancestral Celebrations

This Cycle of Studies and Rituals is a beautiful and fun journey through Ancestral liminal spaces. All are welcome to join: complete beginners who are unsure of how to practice ancestry based magic and experienced practitioners willing to celebrate their magic with others.

Ancestral Celebrations is a safe space for those who carry hurt, trauma, grudges and anger related to their Ancestors and it's also an welcoming event to the practitioners who have a loving relationship with their Ancestry.

We will meet up live, through Google Meet, for three Sundays in October to discuss many aspects of Ancestral Magic as well as join each other in ritual. All meetings will be recorded and made available to everyone signed up - you will be able to have access to these recordings for years!

Here's what to expect of our gatherings:

Day 1: October 13th

On our first day together I'll share with you a little bit of my personal journey with my Ancestors and why this work means so much to me. We will explore together the many meanings of Ancestry and how the concept of who is an Ancestor may change depending on who we ask. In this class we will also discuss energetic inheritances and what we can do with them (because not everything we inherited is necessarily a gift, some stuff requires work!).

We will talk about the role of Underworld Deities as intermediaries between us and our dead, explore pathways of healing and celebration.

This meeting also includes a meditation exercise and an offering to the Ancestors of the Land.

Day 2: October 20th

Our second day together is all about releasing, forgiving and even making amends with the dead (and sometimes still alive) ancestors who we don't necessarily love. We will make space for grief, sadness, anger and frustration. We will release guilt and allow ourselves to feel whole and loved.

A beautiful ritual will be performed to honor our feelings and let go of the ancestral traumas that we may carry in our bodies and souls.

Day 3: October 27th

Our final gathering will be a joyful celebration of who we are and all the Ancestors and Beings who came before us  and have supported our existences thus far!

We will share fun tips and ideas on how to FEEL connected to our Ancestors in our every day lives and how to honor Them through self care and self love.

Our final ritual includes dancing, singing and feasting as well as a whole lot of LOVE.

Bonuses

As part of this cycle of studies and rituals you will receive two pre recorded rituals: A Moon Ancestral Celebration Ceremony that you can perform in the future with friends and family and a Cooking for the Loving Dead Ritual (don't worry, you don't have to be good at cooking for this one! But an open mind is encouraged).

PDFs with extra tips will also be provided.

IMPORTANT

Respect - everyone is required to offer respect to all of the participants, their experiences, traditions and journeys.

Makumba - My root tradition is the Makumba (you can read more about it on our ig @moon7garden and at our Bio Page) therefore, you can expect a good deal of African based philosophies in this cycle of studies.

Expectations - none of the participants have to engage or participate in any conversations or rituals .

I hope you will join us in this magical journey!

Please email us any questions or concerns you may have - we are always happy to hear from you:
